Grace Episcopal Church Legacy Fund
MAKE GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH PART OF YOUR LEGACY
The Legacy Fund of Grace Episcopal Church exists “to ensure the financial resources necessary to enable the parish to develop and support its ministry and mission as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ through worship, education, and outreach, including facility restoration and major capital improvements."
GROWING THE LEGACY FUND
In addition to your regular giving to Grace Episcopal Church, you may make regular or periodic gifts to the Legacy Fund. Gifts of any size may be designated for the Legacy Fund. Checks should be made payable to Grace Episcopal Church, with a notation that they are intended for the Legacy Fund; readily marketable securities may also be given to the Legacy Fund; online gifts may also be made through eGive, specifically designated for the Legacy. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Gifts in the following categories are particularly encouraged:
When celebrating a special birthday or anniversary, a person may wish to make gifts in your honor to the Legacy Fund. An acknowledgment will be sent to the individual(s) being honored (please provide the name and address of the person to be notified).
Grace Episcopal Church may be designated as a beneficiary in Wills, Life Insurance Policies, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and other life-income gifts. No such designation is too small, whether made as an outright bequest of a specific amount or as a percentage of your Estate.
Parishioners and others who are 70 ½ years of age may be subject to mandatory IRA withdrawals which result in income tax liabilities. A parishioner who designates some or all of these mandatory withdrawals as a gift to Grace will not be liable for these taxes.
When a loved one dies, it may be appropriate to ask family and friends to make gifts to the Legacy Fund in lieu of sending flowers. An acknowledgment will be sent to the family of the individual(s) being remembered (please provide the name and address of the person to be notified).
LEGACY FUND MANAGEMENT
The Legacy Fund is managed by a five-member Board appointed by the Vestry.
